MARIELLA HORIANSKÏ
I was born in the city of Posadas, in the interior of the Argentine Republic. In a region of lush jungle, important watercourses, with warm temperatures and where the vibrant colors of native flora and fauna are always present. Land of European immigrants, I am of German and Ukrainian descent.
I have always been close to art. I followed these paths through "Decorative Art" - wood, porcelain, ceramics, sculpture, etc. On this journey, I sought to deepen formal knowledge along with the experience of "doing", and completed a Professorship in Fine Arts and Design.
Married and, with the first of three children in the family, we emigrated to Brazil to rewrite our history. In a new country that grew up in the light of German, Italian and Polish colonization, a crucible of races and a welcoming population; with well-defined seasons, cold and heat, abundant natural color and challenging geography, strong traditions - which as a whole enhanced sensitivity and emotionality.
I discovered my purpose of provoking reflection in those who allowed themselves to participate in the dialogue with the work, and to cause a transformation in that "instant" of their life.
I constantly seek to express my feelings and emotions reflected in the new meaning of colors, shapes, textures, lights and shadows.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Having observed nature in all its splendor and perfection, I move away from it to give new meaning to reality in paintings of fluid and intense shapes and colors; a kind of energy where the real world, or the one we carry in our memory, is not recognized.
I understand color as a vital need, I conceive of man's existence in a colorful environment, with energy, sensitive and full of life. I transform reality into sensations and emotions, seeking to impact the inner world at the moment of contemplating the works.
The play of shapes, colors and textures leads us to encounter ourselves, tells us about the reason for existing, our own, open, luminous; it speaks to us without speaking, it expresses itself with color like a dance in the fluidity of movement, with a new interpretation conveyed in the proportion and intensity of the strength of each line in the works presented.
Let's let ourselves be carried away to an emotional and sublime world that goes from the tangible to the intangible... objective to subjective... reality to unreality... from the rational to the sensitive world, from the ordinary to the extraordinary... Leave the detail of perfection to imperfection, forming a mysterious aesthetic of the imaginary in the search for itself, its nature and existence.
I hope to awaken the viewer's curiosity for disconcerting scenes of the place we inhabit, not about explaining emotions, but feeling them directly in a unique moment.
